Nordic Comfort by Gestalten

Publication

Northern Comfort – The Nordic Art of Creative Living, takes a close look at some of the Nordic region’s most inspiring and insightful ideas and individuals. It brings together the people, endeavours, and ideas that best embody this way of life, focusing on interior design while also venturing into the outdoors, the kitchen, and the atelier. It presents a kaleidoscope of northern talent that is both admirable and inspiring. Marble Matter has been featured in this book, presented as ‘a design studio working with natural materials with rich colours and marbling techniques’.

Sindroms

Publication / Art photography

A contribution to the second Sindroms - the Yellow Sindrom. Sindroms is a journal of monochrome states of mind, published in print biannually. Curating its content based on specific colours, it investigates them across culture, and immerses its readers in the feelings and moods evoked by each colour.

This project was made for Marble Matter, exploring of the yellow shades yielded by the turmeric root. While trying to visually remember the yellow spectrum that lies between soil and fibre, we embarked on a journey to pay homage to shades of natural yellow. In doing so, it was not solely a reminder of the almost forgotten tones of ancient yellow, but a mean to showcase what have gone missing throughout past decades.
